The Charlotte Knights and Worcester Red Sox will start a six-game series tonight.
After winning the opener of their last series against the Toledo Mud Hens, the WooSox lost the next four in a row. They were able to salvage the final game of the series, winning 5-4. The WooSox have the opportunity to go above .500 if things go well in this series. They sit at 32-34 and in the middle of the pack in the International League East.

The Charlotte Knights also won the final game of their series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. (Which is arguably one of the best mascots of any team ever.) Jacksonville did earn wins in four of the six games in that series as the Knights will try to fight their way out of the bottom of the International League East division. Charlotte should have momentum from its last game, where they won in a 13-11 shootout.
This will be the first time these two play one another this season and it will be the last at-home series for the WooSox of the month. Brayan Bello will be going tonight for the Red Sox. He has pitched well so far, going 3-2 with a 3.78 ERA. Lefty John Parke will go for Charlotte. He is 2-5 on the season with a 6.75 ERA.
