The stage is set for the Saudi Super Cup Final and on Thursday afternoon, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad will leave everything on the field as the teams battle to win the title. Al-Ittihad is currently in fourth place in the Saudi Pro League standings and made it through to the Super Cup final after defeating Al-Wehda 2-1 in the semifinal game on Monday. Karim Benzema put Al-Ittihad on the board in the first minute of play with an unassisted goal to give his squad an early lead. Just before halftime, Abderrazak Hamdallah buried a shot in the back of the net after receiving service from Romarinho to make it a 2-0 game. In the 97th minute of play, Al-Wehda cut the lead in half, but it was too late and Al-Ittihad finished on top.

Al-Hilal will also made it through to the final with a 2-1 win after playing Al-Nassr in the semifinal match. The club is at the top of the league standings and has proven it deserved to get to this point in the tournament with strong play. On Monday, the game was scoreless until the second half when Salem Al-Dawsari scored the first goal for Al-Hilal, receiving an assist from Sergej Milinković-Savić. Ten minutes later, Malcolm extended the lead after Michael set him up for the finish. Bono made two saves in the win, and although a shot made it by him in stoppage time, the team held on for a chance to play for the title.
