    Boston College and Syracuse play for the ACC Championship in women’s college lacrosse today.

    This season in women’s college lacrosse comes down to one final match in the championship between top-seeded Syracuse and third-seeded Boston College. There were no major surprises or upsets this year in the tournament with the top four seeds making it to the semifinals and two of the top three seeds earning their way into the championship match today. For the top-seeded Orange, they proved why they are the number one seed in the tournament with wins over ninth-seeded Louisville (17-8) and fifth-seeded Virginia (19-4) by a combined score of 36-12. They have crushed to the finals and will face their toughest competition in the Golden Eagles today.

    The Golden Eagles’ path to the finals took them through sixth-seeded Duke (19-5) and then second-seeded Notre Dame (9-7). That match in the semifinals really challenged the Golden Eagles and also proved their mettle against the top-tier teams in this tournament leading into the championship match.

    Both teams are loaded with top talent in the conference with the Golden Eagles featuring five players named to the all-conference team this year. Rachel Clark, Shea Dolce, Sydney Scales, Belle Smith and Cassidy Weeks will look to lead the team today to a championship and into the future with Clark and Dolce coming back next season.

    For the Orange, they have four members of the first team as well in Olivia Adamson, Katie Goodale, Kate Masgewske and Emma Tyrrell that helped this team earn the number one seed in the tournament and then tear through the competition in their first two matches leading to the championship match today.
