Princeton fell to 4-3 in the Ivy League and had a five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as it seeks to return to the NCAA tournament after missing last season. Harvard represented the league in last year’s tourney, its first appearance since 2019. The Tigers are fourth in the Ivy League, 1.5 games behind Columbia, while the Crimson are in fifth place.

    Harvard came back from a 6-1 deficit in the middle of the second inning to top Princeton 14-6 in a six-inning run-rule decision. Nicolette Hunter worked 3.1 innings of shutout relief to earn the win and took the lead when Megan Davies scooted home on a double steal in the fourth inning. Sophie Sun slashes .414/.440/.771 with team bests of six home runs and 15 RBI.

    A bases-loaded triple from Lauren Sablone sparked a four-run Princeton second inning after she drove in the first run of the game with a single in the top of the first. Sonia Zhang hits .394/.494/.606 while Sablone leads the team with 21 RBI. Four players — Zhang, Sablone, Allison Ha and Julia Dumais — have two home runs apiece.

    Riley Flynn leads the Crimson with 47.2 innings pitched, putting up a 2.79 ERA and 1.30 WHIP while going 4-2 in 14 appearances and six starts. Cassidy Shaw has a 4.63 ERA and 1.75 WHIP in a team-high 65 innings for the Tigers after surrendering five runs in 1.1 innings on Saturday.
