The Astros go for their second straight win on Sunday afternoon when they host the rival Rangers
The Houston Astros take on the Texas Rangers on Sunday afternoon in the rubber match of a three-game series. The Astros snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday when they beat the Rangers 9-2. They had been swept by the Kansas City Royals on the road and then fell in the first game of their series with Texas on Friday. It looked like they might lose a fifth straight when they gave up two runs in the top of the first. They would hold the Rangers scoreless the rest of the way, though, and broke the game open with seven runs in the bottom of the seventh. Sunday they will turn Cristian Javier as they look to get the big series win. Javier is pitching well and comes into the start 1-0 with a 1.10 ERA.

The Rangers will counter with Nathan Eovaldi as they look to bounce back from Saturday’s loss. Eovaldi will be pitching against his former team as he pitched five seasons with the Red Sox before moving to the Rangers last year.
Eovaldi has pitched great for the Rangers and comes into Sunday 1-0 with a 1.45 ERA in three starts.
