With the win last night, the Phillies improved to 2-3 on the season due in large part to Bryce Harper’s explosive night at the plate. Harper started off the game with a solo shot in the first, his first home run of the season to give the team a 1-0 lead. He struck again in the bottom of the fourth to score his 1,000th run of his career. Harper finished the night off with a third home run that happened to be a grand slam to finish the night with six RBI in the win. Brandon Marsh also hit a home run, another solo shot in the eighth. Spencer Turnbull earned the win, striking out seven batters and giving up zero earned runs in five innings of work.

Today’s game will see Frankie Montas get the start on the mound for the Reds while the Phillies will turn to Zack Wheeler.
