Stanford gets back on the football field on Saturday afternoon for its annual Cardinal and White Spring Showcase. The Cardinal are preparing for their first season in the ACC after the Pac-12 dissolved. The Cardinal will join Cal and SMU as new members of the league. The Cardinal struggled in their last couple of years in the Pac-12 and are coming off a 2-7 conference record. They did upset both Colorado and Washington State, but the defense was not good last year as they gave up at least 42 points in a game seven times. The offense wasn’t much better and on Saturday they are hoping to show off a better team.

They have a tough start to the 2024 season as they play TCU in their first game and then have trips to Syracuse, Clemson and Notre Dame all in the first six weeks.
The second half of the schedule lightens up a bit, but they still must go to NC State and play Lousiville at home.
It is a tough schedule and the Cardinal are going to have to be much better this year if they want to compete in the ACC.
