UC Irvine looks to stay hot on Saturday evening as it goes for a big upset of No. 4 Gonzaga in the first round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament. The Anteaters come into the tournament on a six-game winning streak and fresh off a Big West Tournament Championship over UC Davis. The win improved their record to 23-8 and helped them earn the automatic berth into the tournament. They have been led by Deja Lee who is scoring a team-high 13.9 points per game. She is one of just two players averaging double figures for the Anteaters this season.

The Bulldogs will look to slow her down as they try and advance to the second round and bounce back from a shocking loss to Portland in the WCC Tournament.
The loss snapped their 24-game winning streak and was their first defeat in the conference this season.
They had swept through the WCC in the regular season going 16-0 and they had beat the Pilots by 50 points the last time they played. It was one of the biggest upsets of the season and one the Bulldogs are going to have to put behind them as they take on a hungry Anteaters team on Saturday night.
