Kadary Richmond and Seton Hall will take the court in the championship game against Robbie Avila and Indiana State tonight.

The Sycamore finished the season with the conference’s regular season title, but they missed out on an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after losing to Drake in the conference tournament. They opened up play in the NIT beating SMU by nine points and then Minnesota by 12 points. Jayson Kent had a 35-point game against SMU and Ryan Conwell had 23 points against Minnesota. In the quarterfinal, they beat Cincinnati by just four points led by Robbie Avila who had 22 points and six assists. On Tuesday, they played Utah and won by 10 points with a team-high 27 points from Conwell. Avila had 26 points and 10 rebounds as well.

The Pirates finished their season with 12 losses and opened up tournament play in the first round against Saint Joseph’s. They won by just four points in overtime led by Al-Amir Dawes who had 26 points and 10 rebounds while Dre Davis had 14 points and 11 rebounds. They went on to beat North Texas in the second round 72-58.
In the quarterfinals, Seton Hall took down UNLV 91-68 with another big performance from Dawes with 21 points and six rebounds. On Tuesday, they beat Georgia by almost 20 points to advance to the championship. Dawes had 20 points while Davis had 19 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
