Louisville and Virginia Tech matchup in the 8/9 game of the ACC women’s lacrosse tournament. The winner will get a matchup with the top seed Syracuse on Wednesday at the American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC. The two teams met in the regular season back in February with the Hokies coming away with a 14-10 win. The match was tied at halftime, but the Hokies used a big third quarter to grab a four-goal lead. They would hold off a Carindals comeback to get the win. That victory was one of just two for the Hokies in the ACC this season.

The Hokies would also take down Pitt, but struggled in conference play. The Hokies finished 2-7 in the ACC and 9-8 overall and come into Sunday on a two-match losing streak.
The Cardinals also finished the conference schedule just 2-7 and are 7-10 overall coming into Sunday.
They have also dropped two straight heading into the tournament and have just one win in their last five games. Sunday they will look to snap out fo their funk and avenge the earlier season loss to the Hokies.
