The Blue Jays struck first in the opener, but the Royals came back on Tuesday in a nail-biter. Things were looking good for the Blue Jays, scoring the first two runs of the game, but Kansas City saved all of its offensive production for the fifth when the Royals scored three runs.
The Royals scored their first runs on a critical error by first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Bobby Witt Jr. then had the biggest hit of the night by hitting a two-RBI double to get the go-ahead run. The Kansas City bullpen shut down the game the rest of the way in a game that turned out to be a pitcher’s duel.

The Blue Jays will counter with Yariel Rodriguez who is looking for his first win of the season. The righty is coming from the Nippon Professional Baseball league in Japan. He made his Major League debut on April 13 and has been great in his first two starts, posting a 2.35 ERA.
