How to Watch Mets at Braves: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves close out their rain-shortened series at Truist Park on Thursday afternoon.

After Wednesday night’s scheduled game was postponed by rain, the New York Mets (4-7) and Atlanta Braves (7-3) will play the final game of their now three-game series on Thursday afternoon at Truist Park. Wednesday’s rain out makes four postponements for the Mets this season, with the other three already made up. Wednesday’s game now falls to Sept. 26 at Truist Park in what had been an off-day after a two-game series between the clubs. Braves designated hitter Marcell Ozuna entered Wednesday tied for the National League lead with five home runs, a team-best 13 RBI and a .318/.333/.705 slash line.

Wednesday’s rainout was the third for Atlanta this season. The scheduled opener against the Philadelphia Phillies pitched the following day on March 29, while the finale of the Braves’ three-game Interleague series against the Chicago White Sox is now scheduled for June 27 in Chicago, a day after the Braves wrap up a three-game road set with the St. Louis Cardinals.

New York stands last in the NL with 38 runs scored through its first 11 games and its .218/.308/.333 slash line is only ahead of the Miami Marlins. The Mets’ 3.42 ERA ranked seventh in MLB entering Wednesday, but only the Marlins have allowed as many unearned runs as New York with 13.

Right-hander Allan Winans, the scheduled starter for Wednesday, was skipped by the Braves in favor of left-hander Max Fried, who has struggled out of the gate. While taking two no-decisions in two starts, Fried has allowed 11 runs, 10 earned, in just five innings. New York pushed left-hander Jose Quintana back from Wednesday to start. He is 0-1 with a 2.61 ERA and 1.645 WHIP in two starts and 10.1 innings.
