The Atlanta Braves go for their seventh straight win and series sweep against the Texas Rangers on Sunday.

The Atlanta Braves (14-5) have started to separate themselves from the rest of the National League with a six-game winning streak. They can close out a sweep of the defending champion Texas Rangers (11-11) after a sweep of the Houston Astros, building momentum in the Interleague series. During this six-game winning streak Atlanta has given up four runs or less in all but one of the wins. They are allowing 3.1 runs per game to opponents and showcasing one of the most consistent offenses in the majors this season. With another win today, Atlanta would close out the series sweep against Texas in a potential World Series preview.

On the mound for Atlanta in pursuit of the sweep is right-hander Darius Vines (0-0). This is just the second start of the season for Vines, who debuted with 4.2 innings pitched and four strikeouts.

The offense for Atlanta has played great and will put Vines in a position to earn his first win of the season. They have scored 13 total runs in two games against Texas while averaging 6.5 runs per game during this six-game winning streak.

In the first game of the series Atlanta used a four-run sixth inning to create separation on Travis d’Arnaud’s grand slam, his third home run of the day. Then in the second game Atlanta took advantage of eight hits to bring in five runs on a double, a single, a sacrifice fly and another deep shot from d’Arnaud who has found his power in this series, hitting all four of his home runs this season.
