After a marathon game on Tuesday night, the Blue Jays and White Sox have a quick turnaround for a getaway day game on Wednesday to wrap up their three-game series.
How evenly matched have the Blue Jays and White Sox been this week? They played a one-run game in their series opener on Monday that saw Toronto nearly erase an 8-2 deficit in the later innings. The two teams followed that up by playing in the 12th inning on Tuesday night. They’ll have a quick turnaround after that one, with a getaway day game Wednesday afternoon in the series finale.

The White Sox scored twice in the ninth last night to send the game to extra innings. After both teams scored a run each in the 10th and 11th innings, the Blue Jays failed to do so in the top of the 12th. That opened the door for a walk-off single from Josh Harrison.
While Harrison was the hero, center fielder Luis Robert provided most of the offensive firepower. He went 2-for-5 with a double and four RBIs. That followed another big performance in Game 1 of the series when he went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and his seventh home run of the season.
With Tuesday’s win, the White Sox got back to .500. They’re now 33-33 on the season and Toronto is 38-30, which is good for second place in the highly-competitive American League East.
