Jackson Holliday goes for his first hit while the Baltimore Orioles go for the sweep of the Boston Red Sox on Thursday.
After one of the most anticipated debuts in Major League Baseball in recent memory, the Boston Red Sox host the Baltimore Orioles for the series finale on Thursday night. Game 2 featured the debut of the league’s No. 1 prospect and son of Colorado and St. Louis great Matt Holliday. Jackson Holliday was called up on Wednesday after just 155 games in the minor leagues. It wasn’t the game Holliday was envisioning for his debut going 0-for-4 but he got an RBI groundout and most importantly for the Orioles, Baltimore won 7-5. The win put Baltimore up 2-0 in the series with a chance to sweep tonight. Jordan Westburg got the big hit in the seventh when he got the go-ahead two-run homer which held up to win the game. It completed a huge rally as Baltimore was down five runs.
