Camilo Doval won his second game of the season in relief fashion pitching a scoreless inning with one strikeout. Heading into the bottom of the ninth 0-0, Patrick Bailey it a three-run home run in walk-off dominance. The Pirates turned around and even the series yesterday with a 4-3 win in the bottom of the 10th inning. It was just 1-1 heading into the 10th after regular innings. Bryan Reynolds and Ke’Bryan Hayes hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the 10th to score three runs that San Francisco just wasn’t able to come back from.

Pittsburgh will open the game with Jared Jones on the mound for the team. He is 2-2 this season with a 2.79 ERA on 20 hits allowed. He has 39 total strikeouts in 29.0 innings. He was able to get a 4-2 win against the Milwaukee Brewers in his last outing going 6.0 innings with one earned runs and seven strikeouts.
The hometown team will elect to start Keaton Winn for this series finale. The right-hander is 2-3 in his 2024 campaign with a 3.54 ERA and 23 strikeouts over 28 total innings. Winn won his last start 5-2 against the New York Mets allowing one run over 6.0 innings with six strikeouts and only one walk.
