Qualifying for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series DUDE Wipes 250 set for Friday night at Martinsville Speedway.
The will be a new winner this year at Martinsville Speedway as the NASCAR Xfinity Series revs up for Saturday’s DUDE Wipes 250. Qualifying for the race is set for Friday night at the 0.526-mile elongated oval. John Hunter Nemechek, who won here last year, is not in the field this time around after moving to full-time status on the NASCAR Cup Series. Chandler Smith arrives in Martinsville with two wins this season, picking up his second last week at Richmond. Smith and Austin Hill, who won the first two races of the year, are the only regulars on the Xfinity Series to take the checkered flag this season.

Nemechek led 198 of the 250 laps last year and finished ahead of Sammy Smith with the race under caution. Cole Custer, last year’s series champion, was third in the race, branded the Call 811.com Before You Dig 250 at the time.
The spring race returned to the Xfinity Series schedule in 2021 after a 25-year hiatus. The 131.2-mile event covers 250 laps, with Stages 1 and 2 set at 60 laps each before the final stage of 130 laps.
Chandler Smith owns a 10-point lead over Hill in the early-season standings, with both well ahead of the pack. Custer is third, 41 points back, followed by rookie Jesse Love (trailing by 67 points) and Riley Herbst, with a gap of 71 points from the lead.
