Utah will take on the No. 22 ranked team in the nation, Oregon, in Stanford, California in Game 2 of the Pac-12 Tournament in college softball on Thursday night. The Ducks are 28-18 overall this season and 13-10 against teams from the Pac-12. They lost two of three games against Stanford in the three-game series before this tournament. That series came after winning two of three games against Oregon State and Washington in two of the three series before it. Right fielder Ariel Carlson and first baseman Alyssa Daniell have been dominating the season in the batters’ box this season. Carlson is batting .357 with an on-base percentage of .439. She has a team-high 15 home runs and 52 RBIs this season as well as 38 runs on 51 hits in 143 at-bats. Daniell is batting .312 with a .353 on-base percentage. She is the only other player on the team with 10 home runs this season and 38 RBIs. She has 29 runs on 44 hits in 141 at-bats.

The Utes are 32-19 this season overall with a record of 10-13 against teams from the same conference. They have won three straight games including two against Washington and the only win of a three-game series against Oregon State. They took down Idaho State and Baylor before losing those two games.
Third baseman Julia Jimenez has led the team this season in the box. She is batting .226 with a .350 on-base percentage. She has a team-high five home runs and 40 RBIs with 20 runs on 31 hits in 137 at-bats. Mariah Lopez has been the best on the mound with a 21-10 record in 39 appearances. She gave up 62 earned runs on 171 hits in 191 innings pitched.
