Top Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds For Week 4

Week 3 is almost over with just two games and four teams left to play. It was a strange week between the Dolphins scoring 70 points and the Cardinals beating the Cowboys. Last week, we went 1-for-3 with our waiver wire adds, with Zack Moss being the only startable pickup of last week. This week, there are some hot names that may require some decent FAAB. Here are the top additions heading into Week 4.

De’Von Achane – RB – Miami Dolphins

There is no secret to this waiver wire pickup. In fact, De’Von Achane will probably go for more FAAB in your fantasy league than any other player this week. The Dolphins broke football on Sunday, almost setting the record for the most points scored by a team in a single game after they beat the Broncos 70-20. Both Achane and Raheem Mostert had monster performances with Achane still being widely unrostered. Achane ran 18 times for 203 yards and two touchdowns. In addition to that, he caught four passes for 30 yards and an additional two receiving touchdowns. In all, Achane totaled 56.30 fantasy points, the most of any player this week. This is coming after he was inactive in Week 1 and ran one time for five yards in Week 2.

Quentin Johnston – WR – Los Angeles Chargers

Quentin Johnston didn’t have a Week 3 to remember like Achane did. However, it’s about what happened to Chargers receiver Mike Williams that makes all the difference in this pickup. Williams is the deep-play threat for the team at 6-foot-4, 218 pounds. Williams was the WR7 in the league this week, catching seven passes on eight targets for 121 yards and a touchdown. Williams tore his ACL on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season. That is where the 6-foot-4, 216-pound Johnston comes into play. The former TCU receiver has all the makings of filling Williams’ role on the team and could very likely see his targets and fantasy points in the coming weeks.

Tank Dell – WR – Houston Texans

For the second straight week, Texans receiver Tank Dell has proven to be valuable and startable on fantasy rosters. In Week 2, he had seven receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown totaling 20.20 fantasy points. Most people thought that this would be a fluke and Dell would not see that type of action again. However, this week, Dell one-upped himself going for five receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown with 25.50 fantasy points. Having seen 17 targets in his last two games, Dell has proven to be worth the roster spot and a possible flex spot moving forward this season. Add him off the waiver wire.

C.J. Stroud – QB – Houston Texans

Not often on this list do we see quarterback and receiver combos, but C.J. Stroud proved a lot in his Week 3 performance, just like Tank Dell did. After finishing as the QB22 in Week 1 with just 10.68 points on 242 yards, Stroud has come out and almost broke into the top 10 quarterbacks in each of the last two weeks. In Week 2, he had 382 yards with two touchdowns for 25.46 points. It was a decent performance that should have caught the eye of most fantasy players looking for a backup with bye weeks on the horizon or someone with an underperforming quarterback like Justin Fields or Trevor Lawrence. This week, Stroud was the QB11 with 280 yards and two touchdowns and another 14 yards on the ground. He has 24.60 fantasy points. He’s a top add on the waiver wire.
