The Panthers come into Saturday on a three-game losing streak and looking to get back in the win column. The Panthers had only lost three times in their previous 21 games, but the offense has gone cold as they have just three goals in the last three games and have been shut out twice. The losing streak has dropped the Panthers into second place in the Atlantic Division, three points back of the Boston Bruins. They had moved ahead of the Bruins, but are now chasing them again for the top record in not only the division but the entire league.

The Rangers are also battling for the top record in the NHL, but they are also just a point up on the Carolina Hurricanes for first place in the Metropolitan Division.
The Rangers are back home on Saturday after picking up a huge road win against the Bruins on Thursday night. They trailed 1-0 after one period but scored five of the next six goals to pick up the 5-2 win.
The was their third win in the last four games and sixth in the last eight games. They have been playing great hockey and sit at 46-20-4 on the season.
They will have to continue to play well, though, as they have rough stretch coming up. After Saturday white will play the Philadelphia Flyers at home before hitting the road to take on the Colorado Avalanche.
