The Avalanche look to jump into the top of the standings as they go for a clean sweep on their road trip and seventh consecutive win overall. Colorado has won two of the first three meetings against St. Louis this season, five of the last six, and nine in a row inside the Enterprise Center dating back to 2021.
Colorado leads the league in scoring averaging 3.71 goals per game thanks to center Nathan MacKinnon’s league leading 116 points. In his 11th season, MacKinnon has posted career highs in points and assists and is one goal away from breaking his career high of 42 set last season.
On a four-game winning streak of their own, the Blues are four points behind Vegas for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference with 14 games to play. If they can catch Vegas, it would mark the team’s fifth consecutive trip to the postseason.
St. Louis has been held to just one goal in three of the last four meetings against Colorado, but exploded for eight goals in a road win back in mid-November.
