With each team having eight games remaining in the regular season, each one from here on out is crucial in determining playoff seeding. The Canucks enter play on Tuesday in first place in the Pacific Division and are chasing the Dallas Stars for the top spot in the West. The Stars are currently three points up, but Vancouver has a game in hand. At the same time, the Edmonton Oilers aren’t out of division contention just yet, five points back of the Canucks with a game in hand.
