Manchester United is back in west London for the second time this week hoping to devastate Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea can move back into the top half of the Premier League for the first time in seven weeks if it manages to take all three points from a Manchester United side desperate to climb in the European qualification stakes. The Red Devils travel to Stamford Bridge on Thursday having already experienced major drama in west London this week after conceding a 99th-minute equalizer against Brentford. Mauricio Pochettino’s side, meanwhile, is enjoying its best patch of form so far this season after going unbeaten in five, though the club hasn’t managed to keep a clean sheet in 11 straight outings.

That’s bad news coming up against a United team that’s found the back of the net in 15 consecutive games, with Erik ten Hag’s side last failing to score all the way back in December.
That run almost came to an end at the Gtech Community Stadium before Mason Mount bagged his first goal for the club with what appeared to be an injury-time winner on the weekend.

Victor Lindelof won’t make the trip to west London after being forced off at Brentford due to injury, while his replacement, Lisandro Martinez, is also back on the sidelines after being rushed back.
That should see Harry Maguire recalled to partner Raphael Varane if he’s fit, though the Frenchman is another part of United’s defensive injury crisis alongside Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Jonny Evans.
Chelsea remains in the midst of its own sour patch with injuries as Christopher Nkunku, Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia sit among the long-term absentees.
A Scott McTominay brace led United to a 2-1 win over the Blues when these teams clashed in December, with the Red Devils on the cusp of a first league double over Chelsea since 2020.
