Italy and Iceland participate in the Group D of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. The other two teams in their group include France and Belgium.
Italy has played one game thus far in the group stage play and has lost.

Italy took a brutal loss to France in its first game. France started scoring in the 9th minute and it just continued after that. They scored in the 12th, 38th, 40th, and 45th minutes, scoring five times in the first half.
Italy was able to save one goal in the 76th minute from Piemonte.
Iceland has only played one game in the group stage play as well and it is 0-1-0 with a draw against Belgium. They both put together one goal in the match ending in a 1-1 draw.
Iceland scored first in the 50th minute on a goal from Porvaldsdóttir and then Belgium drew even in the 67th minute on a penalty kick put in the net from Vanhaevermaet. Belgium won the possession battle, while Iceland won the shots battle.
