The top collegiate baseball prospects will show off their skills in New England this evening.
The Cape Cod League is one of the top amateur baseball leagues in the U.S. and each summer hosts 10 teams full of college baseball players recruited to show their skills to scouts. On Thursday, their summer schedule continues with the Braves (6-7-3) taking on the Commodores (5-10-1).

LSU junior right-hander Garrett Edwards is scheduled to start for Bourne. He’s worked 7.2 innings in two appearances and allowed three runs on 10 hits and Falmouth counters with junior left-hander Drew Commers of Arizona. He’s appeared in relief three times and has pitched four scoreless innings, allowing one hit.
Christopher Brito of Rutgers leads the Braves with two home runs and seven RBIs, while Houston’s Jack Duffy is hitting .340 with a homer and five RBIs.
TCU infielder Brayden Taylor paces the Commodores’ attack with three homers and six RBI this season. Shortstop Colby Halter of Florida is batting .324 and has seven stolen bases in 13 games.
Bourne comes in off a 7-6 win on Wednesday night against Harwich, while Falmouth has lost four straight games, including a 5-1 decision to Hyannis on Wednesday.
