Points co-leader Pascal Wehrlein takes the pole for Saturday’s Formula E Monaco ePrix on the Circuit de Monaco
Pascal Wehrlein, coming off a win at Misano two weeks ago, took the pole position for Saturday’s Monaco ePrix at Circuit de Monaco, a 2.062-mile street circuit laid out around the harbor and the Monte Carlo neighborhood of the principality. The Monaco ePrix marks the end of the first half of Formula E’s 16-race schedule that began in mid-January at Mexico City and continued with a doubleheader in Riyadh, races in São Paulo and Tokyo and the double-race weekend in Misano. Wehrlein came to Monaco in a tie with defending Formula E champion Jake Dennis atop the driver standings with 89 points.

Cassidy topped the podium in Monaco last year, finishing 0.390 seconds clear of Mitch Evans and 1.017 seconds ahead of pole-sitter Dennis.
Circuit de Monaco includes 19 turns and was extended with changes in the Nouvelle chicane for the 2021 race. The original ePrix course covered just 1.097 miles. Dennis set the race lap record on the new course last year, covering it in 1:31.119. Sébastien Buemi is the lone two-time winner in Monaco, topping the podium in 2015 and 2017.
