Several potential impactful players still have yet to hear their name called as the NFL Draft heads into the final four rounds on Saturday.
The NFL Draft will continue today with the final four rounds and plenty of players still waiting to hear their names called. The last two days of the first three rounds have been nothing short of exciting. After going chalk for most of the first seven picks, the Atlanta Falcons had the shock of the first round drafting Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. after signing Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal this offseason. The first round of the draft set numerous records. To start, there were a record-setting 275,000 fans in attendance for the start of the draft in Detroit Michigan. There were a total of four quarterbacks taken in the top eight picks which is the most in that span in history. JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix ended up getting drafted later in the first round setting the record for the most quarterbacks drafted in the first round at six. The draft started with 14 straight offensive players being taken, another record, finishing off with a total of 23 offensive players selected in the first round, another record.

The second and third rounds saw further talent fly off the board with nine of the first 11 picks of the second round traded in some fashion. Both the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers got their wide receivers while defense dominated the second round seeing a run of four straight defensive backs at one point.
There are still plenty of players waiting to hear their name called including Iowa State defensive back, T.J. Tampa; Texas tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders; Oregon receiver Troy Franklin; USC receiver and son of Jerry Ricer Brenden Rice; Carolina linebacker Cedric Gray; and South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler.
