The Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles close out their 3-game series at Camden Yards with the deciding game on Wednesday afternoon

The Baltimore Orioles (3-2) and the Kansas City Royals (2-3) split the first two games of their three-game series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards with the deciding game set for Wednesday afternoon in Baltimore. Kansas City picked up its first road win of the season on Tuesday night, significant for a club that finished 23-58 away from home a season ago. The Orioles have two starting pitchers on the injured list — left-hander John Means and right-hander Kyle Bradish — and lost lefty reliever Cionel Pérez to an oblique injury on Sunday. He is the first of the trio expected back.

Rookie Colton Cowser collected two of Baltimore’s three hits, including an RBI double in the third inning for its only run. Anthony Santander leads the O’s with a pair of home runs and eight RBI in the early going but is just 4-for-20. Ryan Mountcastle is off to a 6-for-18 start with seven runs batted in.

Right-hander Corbin Burnes takes the ball for the Orioles on Wednesday after a dominant debut with the club on Thursday. He allowed just a solo home run while striking out 11 in six innings against the Los Angeles Angels. Left-hander Cole Ragans struck out nine in six innings in Kansas City’s opener, allowing two runs in six innings of a hard-luck loss to the Minnesota Twins.
