Instead, the two teams will play a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday, with the Rockies looking to clinch a series win against the Marlins.
The Rockies won the first game of the series 7-1 when they finally broke through for four runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth. They couldn’t solve starter Pablo Lopez, but they took advantage of the Marlins bullpen when he exited the game.
Tuesday, they will send Antonio Senzatela to the mound in game one of the doubleheader. Senzatela is coming off the IL and making his first start in two weeks.
The Marlins will go with Trevor Rogers in the first game. Rogers has struggled this year, going just 2-5 with a 5.23 ERA.
The Marlins have lost seven of his nine starts this year and will be looking to finally breakthrough on Tuesday and set up a rubber match in the second game.
