The top five sleepers of Week 7 in the NFL season could save you from another devastating win by starting guys from Jared Goff to Zach Evans.
In reality, an article written on sleepers pairs well with an article about the best waiver wire pickups of the week. Most of these guys can or could in recent weeks be found on the waivers and available to be picked up. Now, just removed from the waivers, we have guys who can be immediate starters in your lineup this week. Here are the top five sleepers for Week 7 of the NFL season.

Zach Evans, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Zach Evans has no stats to go on this season. In fact, he has only appeared in two games and rushed four times for 10 yards with one fantasy point in six weeks. However, Kyren Williams, the Rams bell cow back is injured and the backup, rookie Ronnie Rivers is also injured and was placed on IR. That gives full reign of the backfield to Zach Evans on Sunday with only veteran Royce Freeman behind him. Now is the time to take the chance on Evans.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
This one might sound odd, but I am in multiple fantasy leagues where Pat Freiermuth was on the waivers after a bye week last week. Honestly, it wouldn’t be without cause either. He has only reached top 10 TE status once this season and has only surpassed 7.50 points once as well. However, after missing Week 5 with an injury and coming out of a bye week, I am expecting Freiermuth to get back involved in the passing game and be the same tight end that we saw finish in the top 10 eight times last season.
Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers
In 12-team leagues, Jayden Reed is most likely under-rostered. According to Sleeper, he is rostered in 27% of leagues and started in less than 5%. Reed has shown us signs of fantasy relevance this season with four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons for 19.7 points or three catches for 55 yards and a two-point conversion for 10.5 points against the Lions. The weak Broncos secondary should put Reed in the sneaky FLEX category this week.

Keaontay Ingram, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Keaontay Ingram was given control of the Cardinals backfield last week after James Connor was headed to IR. Ingram didn’t explode out of the gate finishing with just 10 carries for 40 yards and two receptions for 11 yards totaling 7.10 fantasy points. The biggest thing to point out is that Ingram took the majority of the work over fellow back Emari Demercado who saw most of the work in the game that Connor was injured in before Ingram was back from his own injury.
Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions
Jared Goff is the most owned on this list, but the Lions quarterback is finding his groove this season. After having a rough start to the season facing top passing defenses in each of the first eight weeks leading up to his bye, he has made the most of it. He finished QB18, 6, 14 and 21 through the first four weeks in a roller coaster performance. However, he has since been QB4 and QB4 in the last two weeks against talented secondaries. I wouldn’t be surprised if he throws for over 300 yards and two touchdowns this week.
