NFL Fantasy: Top DFS Starting Lineup for Week 4

Trying to win a daily fantasy contest this week, here is the optimal lineup based on Draft Kings salary prices.

Heading into Week 4, we are going to try to exploit some matchups in the NFL for top DFS lineup production. Below, you will find our optimal daily lineup for all 16 games this weekend.

Last week, we were on fire starting Raheem Mostert, who finished with 45.20 points on Draft Kings; Sam LaPorta, who finished with 22.40; Mike Williams, who finished with 28.10 and Kirk Cousins, who finished with 29.68.

This week, I project our team to be more balanced, but also produce more than it did last week. There are a few top matches that will make for big fantasy points.

QB: Josh Allen, Bills – $8,200

Josh Allen has picked up his game since the first week of the season in an overtime loss to the Jets. Since then, he has thrown for 492 yards and four touchdowns against defenses that aren’t bad. He should be able to eclipse 300 yards and two touchdowns in this contest against the Dolphins where they come back down to reality after scoring 70 points.

RB: Damien Pierce, Texans – $5,100

This is another one of those exploited matchups I was talking about above. Pierce has given us no reason to start him this week based on his production in the first three weeks. However, the Steelers’ defense has allowed 455 yards rushing this year which is the second most in the league. If he can’t capitalize on this matchup, it will not be an easy season moving forward.

RB: James Cook, Bills – $6,300

James Cook has not had an explosive game this season. However, he has been steadily getting most of the rushing work on the offense. He ran for 123 yards and 98 yards in his last two games on 17 and 15 attempts respectively. He will be taking on Miami’s run defense which hasn’t been the best.

WR: Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals – $7,800

Ja’Marr Chase had a rough two weeks to open the season. He was the WR45 and WR60 in those two games. Last week, he finally had the game we had been hoping to see out of him. He pulled in 12 receptions on 15 targets for 141 yards. Should Burrow continue to get better, so will his top receiver in the fantasy world.

WR: Michael Pittman, Colts – $6,500

Despite having a backup quarterback last week, Michael Pittman still managed to pull in nine receptions on 11 targets for 77 yards against a Baltimore secondary. He has proven through three weeks that no matter who he is facing or who is throwing to him, he is a reliable target and should continue to get 8-10 targets again this week.

WR: Quentin Johnston, Chargers – $3,700

Both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams had amazing games with Justin Herbert last week as the Chargers beat the Vikings 28-24. Allen has 18 for 215 yards while Williams has seven receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. With Williams, the team’s downfield threat, out for the season, Quentin Johnston, the TCU product, should get an increased role and an opportunity to fill that spot.

TE: Sam LaPorta, Lions – $4,600

Sam LaPorta is breaking the trend of first-round tight ends not producing. LaPorta broke out last week with 11 targets. He pulled in eight receptions for 84 yards and his first touchdown of his career. His usage should continue to increase as the season goes on; however, so will his price.

FLEX: Roschon Johnson, Bears – $4,900

The Denver Broncos have the worst rush defense in the entire NFL through three weeks. They gave up 350 yards on the ground last week to the Dolphins including a 200-yard rusher. Khalil Herbert might be the first beneficiary, but Johnson has proven to be valuable in the passing game and short-yardage situations.

DST: Cleveland Browns – $2,800

The Cleveland defense has been stellar this year despite the 2-1 record. They held the Bengals to three points in Week 1 and the Titans to three points in Week 3. They lost a 26-22 defensive battle against the Steelers in Week 2. However, they should be back containing Lamar Jackson’s rushing ability with Myles Garrett up front this week.
