No. 16 Oregon takes a break from its Pac-12 schedule on Tuesday to host Gonzaga, which comes in with 7 straight wins
After taking two of three from USC over the weekend, No. 16 Oregon (25-10) returns to PK Park in Eugene on Tuesday afternoon when it hosts Gonzaga (14-18) for a non-conference game. The Bulldogs come in with seven consecutive victories, including a West Coast Conference sweep at San Francisco over the weekend. The Ducks, 10-5 in Pac-12 Conference play, are a half-game behind Oregon State for the league lead. Gonzaga is 10-2 in the WCC, trailing only 8-1 Portland in the league standings. Oregon made its third straight NCAA tournament appearance last season, reaching the super regionals. The Bulldogs’ most recent NCAA tourney bid came in 2022.

The Ducks dropped the series finale on Sunday after taking the first two games from USC. Jeffery Heard slashes .320/.401/.512 while Jacob Walsh leads the club with 12 home runs and 37 RBI.
Gonzaga’s winning streak includes back-to-back WCC sweeps of Santa Clara and San Francisco and a non-conference win over Washington State. But the Bulldogs are just 5-17 on the road. Tommy Eisenstat hits .274/.328/.396. Vincent Temesvary leads the team with five homers and 22 RBI.
Neither team designated a starter for Tuesday, but the Ducks have used Michael Freund (3-1) three times in that role. In 11 appearances overall, Freund posted a 5.92 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in 24.1 innings. Michael Cunneely (2-2) has four starts for Gonzaga with a 6.23 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 30.1 innings.
