South Carolina (36-0) survived a scare at the Albany 1 Regional last week to advance to its fourth consecutive Final Four. On Friday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, the Gamecocks face NC State (31-6) in a national semifinal. The Wolfpack entered the Portland 4 Regional as the No. 3 seed before taking down both second-seeded Stanford and top seed Texas to reach their first Final Four since 1998 and just the second in program history. Coach Dawn Staley looks to lead South Carolina to its third national championship since 2017 while Wes Moore’s NC State squad chases the program’s first title.

The Gamecocks survived a tough regional semifinal with Indiana before topping No. 3 seed Oregon State 70-58 on Sunday to return to the Final Four. Tessa Johnson scored 15 points off the bench while Kamilla Cardoso added 12 points. Cardoso averages 14.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks and MiLaysia Fulwiley drops 11.9 points per game.
Aziaha James went off for 27 points to lead the Wolfpack to a 76-66 victory over Texas on Sunday afternoon. River Baldwin added 16 points in the win. James gets 16.7 points per game, Saniya Rivers scores 12.7 points a night and Madison Hayes averages 10.4 points and 6.9 boards.
NC State is 20-12 all-time against South Carolina, which won the most recent meeting 66-57 on the road on Nov. 9, 2021.
