A rejuvenated Napoli returns to Serie A action hoping to leapfrog Atalanta in the standings. Watch live for free on Fubo.
Serie A gets back underway with a bang on Saturday when reigning champion Napoli will open Week 30 at home to Atalanta in a feast of a first match back following the international break. Almost two months have passed since La Dea last won a game on the road, but Atalanta will look to put things right in Naples knowing three points at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona could put it within reaching distance of the Champions League places. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have a game in hand over most of their Serie A competition, but a win would also be invaluable for Napoli as it looks to leapfrog Atalanta up to sixth place.

Following a nightmarish first half of the season, Napoli appears to have discovered some consistency under Slovakia boss Francesco Calzona following his arrival in February.
Walter Mazzarri’s replacement has the club in its best stretch of form this campaign, having lost just one of his seven games in charge of Napoli, a 3-1 Champions League defeat away to Barcelona.
However, Calzona remains undefeated domestically and bagged his most impressive result thus far just prior to the international break, when Juan Jesus equalized to snag a point against Inter Milan:
A share of the spoils against Italy’s dominant force at present bodes well for Napoli’s future and its ability to get back to the position of contending against Serie A’s elite.
Atalanta, meanwhile, has looked anything but of late and is without a win in four league games, coming up short in each of its recent contests against higher-tier Italian opposition.
Gasperini’s men have other distractions in sight as they prepare for a Coppa Italia semi-final against Fiorentina, not to mention a Europa League quarter-final opposite Liverpool.
That could be enough of a distraction for a revitalized Napoli to make a dent in Atalanta’s plans this weekend, hoping to complete a domestic double after winning 2-1 in Bergamo back in November.
