The Minnesota Twins (16-13) ran their winning streak to nine games with a win on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, the Twins look to complete a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox (6-24) at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago in a getaway-day matinee for both clubs. Minnesota, 10-1 in its last 11 games, began its streak with a four-game sweep of the White Sox at home last week and are 5-0 on its current road trip. Chicago swept the visiting Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend, doubling its season win total, but could finish its homestand 3-3 with another loss on Wednesday.

For the second straight night, Max Kepler drove in the go-ahead run for the Twins, with his ninth-inning sacrifice fly providing the winning margin in their 6-5 victory on Tuesday. Closer Jhoan Duran, activated from the injured list before the game, converted his first save. He had been out since March 16 with an oblique strain.
The White Sox went ahead 4-2 on Danny Mendick’s two-run homer in the fifth before Andrew Benintendi tied the game in the bottom of the eighth with a home run. Michael Kopech fell to 0-3 after surrendering the go-ahead run in the ninth.
Chicago tabbed right-hander Chris Flexen (1-3) for Wednesday’s start. He has a 5.11 ERA and 1.338 WHIP in 24.2 innings. Right-hander Bailey Ober (2-1) gets the call for the Twins, posting a 4.21 ERA and 1.052 WHIP through five starts and 25.2 innings.
