Christmas has passed and the Big Ten is a week away from hitting the conference schedule head on. Each team wraps up their non-conference schedule this week before the real run starts in the New Year.
Before the calendar turns to 2024 we take a look at newest power rankings.

1. Purdue Boilermakers 11-1, 1-1 in Big Ten
Last Week 1
The Boilermakers were dominant once again in beating Jacksonville 100-57 last Thursday. Zach Edey continues to be the best player in the country and he is looking to lead the Boilermakers to another Big Ten championship.
2. Illinois Fighting Illini 9-2, 1-0
Last Week 2
The Fighting Illini got another huge win on Friday when they beat Missouri by 24 points. They continue to look like one of the best teams in the Big Ten and will get a chance to prove it next week against Northwestern and Purdue.
3. Wisconsin Badgers 9-3, 1-0
Last Week 3
The Badgers finished their non-conference schedule with an easy win over Chicago State and it helped move them into the Top 25. Their next game is Tuesday at home against Iowa.
4. Northwestern Wildcats 9-2, 1-0
Last Week 7
The Wildcats shook off their shocking loss to Chicago State with back-to-back wins over DePaul and Arizona State. They get Jackson State this week before a tough game at Illinois next week.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes 10-2, 1-1
Last Week 5
The Buckeyes whipped New Orleans on Thursday for their ninth win in the last 10 games. They get a neutral site game with West Virginia on Saturday to finish their non-conference schedule.
6. Indiana Hoosiers 9-3, 2-0
Last Week 4
The Hoosiers got two wins last week, but they were nearly upset by Morehead State. They had to erase a double digit deficit to come back to beat the Eagles. They got the win, though, and are looking to get another one against Kennesaw State on Friday.
7. Nebraska Cornhuskers 10-2, 1-1
Last Week 6
The Cornhuskers won their third straight game on Wednesday when they beat North Dakota 83-75. They now get South Carolina State on Friday before playing Indiana and Wisconsin next week.
8. Michigan State Spartans 7-5, 0-2
Last Week 8
The Spartans followed up their huge win over Baylor with an easy win over Stony Brook. They get Indiana State at home Saturday before hosting Penn State next week.
9. Michigan Wolverines 8-2, 1-0
Last Week 9
The Wolverines blew another chance to pick up a resume-building win as they lost to Florida in double overtime in the Jumpman Invitational. They get McNeese on Friday to wrap up their non-conference schedule.
10. Minnesota Golden Gophers 9-3, 1-1
Last Week 11
The Golden Gophers won their fourth straight game on Thursday when they beat Ball State. They play Maine at home on Friday before heading to Michigan next Thursday to start back up Big Ten play.
11. Maryland Terrapins 8-4, 1-1
Last Week 12
The Terrapins got a huge win on Friday when they went to UCLA and beat the Bruins 69-60. It was their fourth straight win and they now get a one-win Coppin State to finish out their non-conference schedule.
12. Rutgers Scarlet Knights 7-4, 0-1
Last Week 10
The Scarlet Knights had their two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday when they lost to Mississippi State. It was their third loss in the last five games. They get Stonehill on Saturday before two straight road games at Iowa and Ohio State.
13. Iowa Hawkeyes 7-5, 0-2
Last Week 13
The Hawkeyes won their second straight game when they beat UMBC last Wednesday to stay above .500 on the season. They get Northern Illinois in their last non-conference game before they head to Wisconsin next Tuesday.
14. Penn State Nittany Lions 6-6, 1-1
Last Week 14
The Nittany Lions got their second win in the last three games when they beat Le Moyne on Thursday. They will look to make it three in a row on Friday when they play Rider.
