Which 2-0 Teams in the NFL Still Have the Most to Prove?

Fubo News presents the 2-0 NFL teams with the most to prove. Catch Week 3 of the NFL season on Fubo this weekend.

After two weeks in the NFL, there are nine teams in the NFL that are still undefeated at 2-0. Those teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.

One of the biggest surprises is that three of the four NFC South teams, a division that was projected to be the worst in the league, are all still undefeated. Of the aforementioned teams, which ones still have to prove they deserve to be with the others? Scroll down and find out below by reading along!

Atlanta Falcons

With three teams on the 2-0 list, a few NFC South teams are sure to be on this list. With New Orleans having the weapons they do, they will not be on this list, but the Atlanta Falcons will. Their first win over the Panthers 24-10 wasn’t quality. Last week, they took down the Packers 25-24 on a game-winning field goal with under a minute left in the game.

With Desmond Ridder and his question marks still surrounding the team, there is still much to prove. Ridder has thrown for 352 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. The running back duo of Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier have totaled 303 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. If Ridder can get Drake London and Kyle Pitts utilized in the passing attack, this team could very well win more than we think. However, they still need to prove it.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are just a few years removed from a Super Bowl Championship. However, the major difference between that team and this one is Tom Brady. With his retirement last season, the team signed and turned command of the offense over to Baker Mayfield, who has been on four teams in the last two years.

After his career at Cleveland, Mayfield made rounds to Carolina, Los Angeles, and ended now with Tampa Bay. He has now thrown for 490 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions in two games.

However, this team still needs to prove that it belongs with teams like the Cowboys and Dolphins and that the quality win against the Vikings and against the Bears is sustainable. This week’s meeting with the Eagles should provide the proof we need.

Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are the only non-NFC South team on the list. This squad finished last in the NFC East last season and is now sitting with the Eagles on top of the division after picking up wins against the Cardinals and the Broncos. The reason this team finds themselves as still needing to prove themselves is the competition they have faced has been extremely subpar. The Cardinals are tanking, losing a 21-point lead last week, and the Broncos have continued their struggles from last season.

The bright side to this team is that the young corps is getting stronger and liking bracing to prove themselves. Sam Howell has 501 yards and three touchdowns this season. Brian Robinson has taken over the backfield with 146 yards and two touchdowns in two games.

They will have the opportunity to prove themselves against the Buffalo Bills this week.
