The Columbus Fury takes a 3-match winning streak into Gas South Arena on Thursday night as its visits the regular-season champion Atlanta Vibe.
The Atlanta Vibe (18-5) long since secured the top seed for the Pro Volleyball Federation playoffs and closes its regular-season schedule on Thursday night at Gas South Arena in suburban Duluth when they host the Columbus Fury (8-11). The Fury bring a three-match winning streak into Thursday, a run that began with a victory at home over Atlanta on April 19. The Vibe won two matches in a row after that loss and earned the No. 1 seed for the PVF Championship, set for May 15-18 at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Columbus trails the San Diego Mojo by one game for the fourth and final playoff spot and is also just one game back of the third-place Grand Rapids Rise.

The Fury swept visiting Grand Rapids 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-15) on Sunday. Kendall Kipp put down 16 kills while Raymarierly Santos made 12 digs and set up 40 assists in the victory.
Atlanta also comes off a sweep on Sunday, taking down the visiting Vegas Thrill 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-20). Leah Edmond powered the attack with 12 kills while recording three blocks. Marlie Monserez knocked home two aces to go with 29 assists and Leketor Member-Meneh and Morgan Hentz each dug out 12 opposing shots.
Despite the wide disparity in their records, Columbus leads the season series over the Vibe 2-1, winning both of its home matches. The Fury took a 3-1 victory on March 24 as well as the 3-1 win on April 19. Atlanta swept the first meeting at home back on March 27.
