The Storm look to get back to .500 on Monday against the Liberty in WNBA action.
The 1-2 Seattle Storm take on the 3-0 New York Liberty on Monday night. This is the second game of a back-to-back for the Storm, as the team was in Washington on Sunday afternoon to face the Mystics. In that game, Seattle earned its first win of the year, defeating Washington 84-75 in a hard-fought contest. Seattle was without Nneka Ogwumike for that one as she missed the game with an ankle injury, but Jewell Loyd scored 24 points and Ezi Magbegor added 15 points and 14 rebounds to get the win for Seattle.

The Liberty come in undefeated, though their opponents in those three games have combined to win zero games so far this season. Still, the Liberty look every bit as good as they did last season when the team made it to the WNBA Finals, where they lost to the Las Vegas Aces.
Last time out, the Liberty took down the Indiana Fever 91-80. Breanna Stewart had 24 points in that one and all five Liberty starters scored in double figures. Jonquel Jones had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
Seattle entered the season with high expectations and while consecutive losses to Minnesota dampened the excitement for the Storm, this is a chance for the team to show it can be competitive against the league’s best teams. It’s also a chance for the team to get its first win against former Seattle star Breanna Stewart, who left the team last year for New York. The Liberty were undefeated against the Storm in 2023.
