On Tuesday night, Santa Clara will hit the road to take on Stanford in a mid-week, non-conference matchup. The Cardinal is right in the middle of the pack in the Pac-12 standings with a conference record of 11-10 and an overall record of 19-22. Over the weekend, the team took on Cal, dropping the final game in a 7-4 defeat to miss out on the sweep. The Bears took a 6-0 lead before the Cardinal got on the board with a two-run double from Jimmy Nati before Brandon Larson stepped up to the plate and hit a two-run home to right center to bring the team within two. Hidalgo Stadium is set to host the exciting mid-week matchup between home side Pachuca and visiting side Club América on Tuesday in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinals. The Chicago Cubs go for a second straight win on Tuesday night when they visit the New York Mets. The Cubs came to New York on a two-game losing streak, but they got a Christopher Morel home run in the top of the ninth to steal a victory from the Mets. The Cubs didn’t have a hit through seven innings, but finally broke through in the eighth to tie the game and then took the lead on the home run in the ninth. The win pushed their record to 18-11 and moved them into first place in the NL Central. Tuesday they will look to clinch at least a series split when they send Javier Assad to the mound. Assad has been good so far this season as he is 2-0 with a 200 ERA.

Wyatt Worthington II is still in the lead as the second round finishes and the third round commences on Tuesday.

The PGA Professional Championship will finish off the second round that was suspended due to darkness and attempt to complete round three here on Tuesday at the Fields Ranch East and West golf courses in Frisco, Texas. As of suspended play, Wyatt Worthington II from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, was still in the lead of the pack despite only getting four holes into his second round. Ben Pollard of Jackson, Wyoming, follows him after shooting a 68 and 71 in the first two rounds. He is tied with Jared Jones from Houston, Texas who shot a 69 in the first round and a 70 in the second round. The next four golfers are all tied at No. 4 on the leaderboard. Stephanie Connelly-Eiswerth, Fleming Island, Florida, fell two spots as did Hayes Farley from Ponte Vedra, Florida. The other two that are tied at No. 4 include Zac Oakley from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, who is up 13 spots from the first round, and Danny Balin of Lake Success, New York, who is up 23 spots from the previous round.

First leg of semifinals kicks off as Real Madrid visits Bayern Munich

Previous UEFA Champions League winners face off today inside Allianz Arena in the first leg of the semifinals as Bayern Munich plays host to Real Madrid. A cross-town rivalry game will take place Tuesday afternoon as Boston University hosts Boston College.

On Tuesday afternoon, Boston College will travel across town to take on Boston University at BU Softball Field for a mid-week, non-conference battle for bragging rights in the city. The Eagles come into Tuesday’s game with an overall record of 27-21 and 7-14 in conference play for a spot in ninth place in the ACC standings. The team has won two games in a row with the most recent being a 6-3 win over Notre Dame on Sunday to secure the series win in South Bend. Nicole Giery led at the plate for the Eagles, going 3-for-4 while Jordan Stephens and Makenna Segal each brought in two runs to lift the team to a win. Abby Dunning earned the victory in the circle with a complete game in which she walked five batters and struck out two.

Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal face off on Tuesday in the Kings Cup of Champions semifinals.

King Abdullah Sports City is set to host the exciting mid-week matchup between Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal on Tuesday in the Kings Cup of Champions semifinals. Al-Hilal’s run to the final four of the competition began with a round of 32 win over Al-Jabalain, thanks to a second-half strike from Rúben Neves. Following the 1-0 victory, Al-Hilal hosted Al-Hazm to a 3-0 finish in the round of 16 to advance to the tournament quarterfinals. Neves scored again via penalty kick, to go along with a brace from Aleksandar Mitrović. Then, the current Saudi Pro League leader Al-Hilal met Al-Taawoun in the Kings Cup of Champions quarterfinals. The club took another 3-0 finish to advance to the final four of the competition, thanks to goals from Mitrović, Michael and Malcom.
