Michael Wacha had one of the best starts with his new team this year. That Raley homer was the only blemish of the night for Wacha, as he only gave up three hits in six innings to give the Royals a chance. The win helped Kansas City keep pace in the AL Central and now the Royals are just 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Guardians for the top spot.

Colorado won this series with a 6-3 victory on Tuesday that dropped the Padres to a game under .500.

The Rockies are getting much improved pitching in this streak and that was no exception in Game 2. Cal Quantrill started for the Rockies going six innings while only giving up one run. Ezequiel Tovar homered on the first pitch of the seventh inning to put the Rockies up 6-0. Before this run, the Rockies hadn’t won back-to-back games all season and had lost nine of their last 10 games.
