In last year’s race Truex Jr. came away with the win despite William Byron leading the most laps and Kyle Busch starting on the pole. Those three are the drivers to watch here today as the NASCAR Cup Series takes the track for the 11th time this season.
Busch also earned the pole for today’s race and is an early favorite to win the Wurth 400 this season. Ryan Blaney, Byron, Tyler Reddick and Noah Gragson are right behind Bush in the starting grid with the opportunity to get off to a strong start today.
A win for Busch today would be his first of the season and give him a chance to jump up the standings from 17th where he is at through 10 races. The top five in the standings starts with Larson (359 points) who is 15 points ahead of the rest that include Truex Jr. (344 points), Chase Elliott (337 points), Byron (335 points) and Tyler Reddick (316 points) heading into today’s race.
