It was a complete team performance against one of the best teams in the league.

Taylor Pendrith made moving day count on Saturday, shooting an eight-under-par 63 to move into the lead at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Pendrith carries a one-shot lead into the final round on Sunday at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, about 32 miles north of Dallas in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Second-round leader Jake Knapp sits one shot back after a third-round 67 on Saturday. Defending champion Jason Day, a two-time winner of the event, made the cut but stands far out of contention at six-under-par, tied for 58th place. The tournament dates to 1944 as the Texas Victory Open, won by the event’s namesake, Byron Nelson.

This series has been a national coming out party for Banchero in his second season putting the offense on his back. He is averaging 25.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game on 48-38-71 shooting splits. During this series, Banchero has two 30-plus point games showing he can put the team on his back.

For Cleveland, it might be without starter Jarrett Allen (ribs) for the third straight game giving Evan Mobley more opportunity to control the paint. In two games with Allen out of the lineup Mobley has played great on the defensive end (seven blocks, three steals), but on the offensive end he has struggled with just 17 points and four assists on 8-16 shooting from the field.

On the perimeter, Cleveland will need big games from Mitchell, who is seemingly playing through pain and injuries, and Darius Garland. In Game 6 Mitchell carried the offense with 50 points in a loss, but has struggled all series to find his shot shooting 11-44 from three (25.0%) and scoring at an inefficient, high rate.

This Sunday, the Michigan Panthers will try to win back-to-back games for the first time this season when they welcome the Arlington Renegades to Ford Field for Week 6 UFL action.

Through the first half of the 2024 UFL season, the Michigan Panthers (3-2) have been an up-and-down team. They beat the St. Louis Battlehawks 18-16 in Week 1, and since have alternated wins and losses in every game. Last week being an odd-number week they came away with a win and a season-best offensive performance as they took down the Memphis Showboats 35-18. In that massive offensive performance last week the Panthers were very efficient. They went 7-for-14 on third downs, and scored touchdowns on four of their six red zone trips. Defensively they forced four turnovers, with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

He will have a great opportunity for a second title this season against Auger-Aliassime, who Rublev is 4-1 in his career against in five matches. The two have played once this year in the round of 16 in Rotterdam where Rublev came away with the 3-6, 7-6, 7-5 win. Auger-Aliassime comes in ranked 35th this year with an 11-10 overall record. A win today would get him over the hump against Rublev and his first title of the year.
